Was there ever any question?

You Belong in Generation X

You fit in best with people born between 1961 and 1981.

You are fun, laid back, and very independent.

You are willing to take risks and live your life however you see fit.

You are casual, accepting, and friendly. You see everyone as your equal.

What Generation Do You Belong In?

I don't want to think what it means that I belong in the Silent Generation (1925-1942) ...

You know... oddly enough, that doesn't really shock me. I don't know you that well, but what I do, and how I read you, it really isn't a surprise. Course if I'd admitted to how much swing music I've listened to (at My!Ed's behest, poor sick fellow) lately, I might have skewed my results that way. But I really do listen to any and all music... with the exception of country and rap... and even then there are exceptions to that rule. Beastie Boys rock... and Loretta Lynn? Johnny Cash? yah.. they're all okay.

I think what nailed me was confessing to being thrifty -- which is the perhaps-natural result of being raised by Depression-era parents combined with an enormously long stint in grad school (mmm, ramen).

I told the quiz I liked all kinds of music because my favorite genres (Celtic, classical, folk, J-pop ... ) weren't included as a separate option. :-)
