That's crazy! Glad you are okay...being so close. We couldn't have fires of any kind here in Balitmore...it rains nonstop. Feel like I am in Seattle...Ponders how this explosion happen (the article didn't quite say) and is gald no one was really hurt, ya know the 'big' hurt.

The place is a fuel manufacturing facility, so what was on fire was fuel, and that will burn whether it's pouring down rain or not. haha. In fact it might have made the situation worse if it had been raining because of the runoff and it might have spread the fire.Well this was an explosion.

If you follow the story link now it's been updated. Fire Marshals say one of the tanks leaked, and the liquid from the tank came into contact with a gas fired boiler, and it exploded, and thus exploded that tanks of fuel too.

Really they're very lucky it happened late on a Sunday night when virtually no one was there, or I'm sure there would have been serious casualties.
