Customization
2006-Jan-31, Tuesday 14:07Well... I've been studying the FAQ some... which of course is absolutely against the tech-head code of ethics. It appears that there *may* be ways to actually make this thing look like my journal and not just like someone else's who happens to choose the same style. By that I mean there might be a way for some customization while still having a free account. (i.e. being as I'm still not back to work from my accident I can hardly afford to take on another expense even a small one. Gotta buy a car with what I have left and I'm not finding much in my price range.
Ok... The other option is to have a paid account make my customized style sheet and then let it revert back to a free account... according to the (techheadically unethical) docs once I have the style set up, it will stay that way, I just won't be able to modify it unless I pay again... and if I change it to something else I won't be able to change it back.
I believe that there is someplace here that I can modify my template by hand though like I can on blogger and that's what I'm looking for. On Blogger the bLog's template is on one of the MAIN TABS. However There are definitely features I like better on LJ than blogger... and I am also dismayed that now I'm starting to get spam in my comments... how this guy juicyfruiter was able to post a comment on every blog in the universe saying "I read over your blog, and i found it inquisitive, you may find My Blog interesting. My blog is just about my day to day life, as a park ranger. So please Click Here To Read My Blog" What bites is before I started finding it in other blogs including ones associated with the Dionaea House I actually thought he was some guy who just didn't use the word inquisitive right, so I went and read his blog... thought it was interesting, bookmarked it... but now I'm wondering what the point was in the spam... O_o
Uh... anyway, I'm off track. Sorry, not feeling so swift today... so I'm a little more disassociated than usual... the point is that if anyone knows how to get to the template and modify it by hand, please COME UP OFF THE INFO!!! *snicker*
