It's a Jeep thing... You wouldn't understand...

Well... what would you call a Jeep if you lived in a world where there was never such a thing as AMC or Jeep brands? It's not quite a truck... and not quite a car either... so what would you call it if you could not use the word Jeep? I need an adjective. Also out of the running are things like Rambler, Wrangler, Rover... hahaha... it has to be something to describe this TYPE of vehicle without actually calling it by any brand name on earth. We're not on earth and they are not called Jeeps. Help?
