In fact, this is just a modification on the one I had before. It's a scene from Episode 15 when Scar deconstructs Edward's arm. I always thought that the image of him staring in utter shock as metal parts fly in every direction was powerful, and wanted to use it... but uh.. I couldn't remember how to clip an image out of an AVI. Now I remember, so I can get more of my own images specific to what I want. For anyone who thinks it's boring that I created a secondary image to put into an existing desktop, I did it because I don't have the time or patience to build another Trillian Skin right now. This color set works well with Edward's coloring and his coloring works really well when I damp it down with sepia tones too, which was what I wanted for this one. The texturing on this is in two layers, and I've toyed with it back and forth, and shoved the insets around a bit too, but I like this one a little better than the other one I saved which is just a bit grainier.
As always, if anyone wants either the desktop bitmap, (or the full size version without the backgrounds and edges) fell free to ask. Same goes for the Trilly and Rainlendar skins. Chat me up on ICQ or something, and I'll send them direct. The trilly skin zipped is pretty small.
Oh and yes... in fact I WAS listening to Vienna Boy's Choir singing Edelweiss. It's beautifully done. I love boy's choirs.
