It's about time!  I knew that this was happening, but am glad to see now that it's officially 'set in stone'.  The sad thing is that this hero who sacrificed his very life for his country, which guarantees his freedom of religion, was unable to get his recognized appropriately by our federal government.  In the end his state stepped in and did the right thing by claiming jurisdiction over the feds, and ordering the emblem.  Very good news.

More than 50 people gathered at the The plaque of Sgt. Patrick Stewart is shown Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006, after it was dedicated with a Wiccan symbol on it at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley, Nev. Stewart's widow Roberta Stewart has been fighting the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to get the Wiccan symbol on his plaque for more than a year. (AP Photo/Cathleen Allison)
