I Have a Couple of Things to Say
2007-Jun-12, Tuesday 17:371. I am currently SO far behind reading what my LJ friends have been up to that I don't hold out much hope of catching up right now. Actually, all of you know this. I have at least scanned stuff... some stuff I wanted to say something to, and it's not going to happen... Sorry... Just too much going on right now. Also it appears that either LiveJournal, or my email are not fowarding notices to me about comments in a timely manner, so if anyone has commented and I haven't responded, I probably didn't get the comment. >_< I'll try to check through later.
2. Betsy is dead. That's right... she broke the rules which said that whenever I came downstairs to use my laundry facilities, that Betsy must run and hide where I could never see her POST HASTE and not come out again... thus she would not send me into a fit of terror... and my fit of terror would not send HER into a fit of terror... well today she decided to test the envelope, and stand beligerently in front of the washing machine, daring me to say anything about it. Even after I stomped my foot to REMIND her of the rules which she agreed to early on in our arrangement. She is now paste--literally--ground beneath the sole of my house slipper with a fervor that can ONLY come from an arachnophobe on my level. I feel so FUCKING EMPOWERED now. Those who do not understand... Betsy is a wolf spider... far to large a one to be referred to as 'itsy bitsy' and therefore was named Betsy.
3. Thank you to everyone who has donated to my MS drive. I'm now halfway to my goal. WHOOT! But I still need that other half. If I can't get to my donation goal, I the money still goes to MS, but my understanding is that I can't participate in the ride that I have spent months training for. So if you haven't gotten around to it yet, but plan to... please consider this begging moment as a reminder.. sort of like that annoying public radio pledge drive you have to listen to twice a year. Thanks again to everyone who has helped out. Don't worry, I'll be looking for donations for Pedal with Pete for Cerebral Palsey later this year too hahaha... I'm going to try to do the 100 mile.... which unlike the MS, is not broken over two days... (75 miles a day) it's all in one day... whoo... that will take about 8 hours.

5. um... Oh yah... that Empty Mailbox Syndrome that I've been having? Well I called the Lawyer again today--because I had Empty Mailbox Syndrome again today--and asked them if they had heard anything. Well thy've heard nothing as expected... I now know that the date I spoke to Adrianna was May 16... which tomorrow will be 4 weeks ago... and that was after I'd already waited 3 weeks for a check they said I'd have in 10 days to two weeks. On May 16, I was told that it could in fact take up to 8 weeks... what I was told today was that in my claim notes it says it WILL take 8 weeks... not that it CAN take UP TO 8 weeks... However, the light at the end of the tunnel is that their Deadline as I understand it is about up... Next Wednesday makes 8 weeks... even give or take a day or two... My god I hope so because I am in hard times right now because of them telling me it would be 10 days.
6. I am taking on a roommate at the first of the month. Thankfully, it is not someone who I find annoyingly negative. The roommate I evicted I had specifically told him he could not move in, but he did anyway with no rental agreement only paid me when he felt like it, and more than 50% of the time didn't pay at all... and when he did pay, it was significantly less than I would have rented the room for by choice. So anyway, I'm finding myself actually looking forward to having a roommate who actually goes out and does stuff instead of sitting in his room all day stewing over how horrible his life is. It will be nice to have a roommate with interests outside the internet, and outside of himself... and just ... OUTSIDE... hahaha... so anyway... It will also be nice to have a rental agreement.
I think that's all I have to rant on right now. I'm a little cranky... but there are good things happening... just have a lot more on my plate than I can eat, and I so hate to waste food.
