Project Dump B
And now, the Baby Clothes! YAY!Right. So I said I had some yarn left. Well just look at all the stuff I got out of those two balls of yarn I had left. (don't count the blanket of course hahah I already had that) What you see here are two baby dresses (one which the pattern also said it was for a newborn but which was actually way way bigger, a pair of socks, two pairs of slippers, two diaper covers to match the little dresses and a little hat. The little round things in the plastic bag are actually the spare yarn. Usually when I give a gift is there is just a little ball left, I wind it up nice and neat and give it as well for repairs and things like that. if there is a lot, I just wind up a little ball of it though and the rest goes in my scraps. These pictures seem a little bigger. I don't think I resized them the same as the blanky.
So here's the picture you had of the thumbnail.
K... so this first little dress? First baby dress I ever made. The pattern was way more complicated than it needed to be and though my gauge was right, the size was SO not the size of a new born as it claimed, but more like the size of a giant extra large newborn... also known as 6-9 months if you ask me. The diaper cover was also way more complicated than necessary and not as nice looking as the other. I can't begin to tell you why I didn't get a picture of just the pink and yellow set.
I'm not sure how I feel about these little socks. I just sort of wung it. hahaha... but the little shoes are pretty cute. I was really pleased that the yellow held out long enough to get them finished without having pink in one of them. That worked out perfectly. I don't remember what pattern I used for the shoes but they were super duper easy.
I also had to show what the shoes and socks looked like together. I put the socks in the yellow ones to show the contrast. picture is a little blurrified though. The little crossbars on the mary janes are actually made evenly, but it was hard to get them even in the picture because there's nothing in the socks to hold things open. Air just doesn't cut it!
Now I reckon it's bed time So I'll have to try to post s'more stuffs tomorrow.
