Funniest thing I've heard today...

Katsushiro saying: "What a thoughtless action"

And using Edward Elric's voice to say it.

Katsushiro says this when Kikuchiyo (a machine samurai) uses his big jackhammer sword to tear into the side of a building that both allies and enemies are in/on.  Katsushiro means this in the sense of someone doing something impulsive without thinking, and having a disastrous result.  Edward Elric on the other hand is well known for acting impulsively wihout thinking and often with disastrous results.  His younger brother often chides him for not thinking before he acts.

When I say that Katsushiro is using Edward Elric's voice to say that it is because I am watching it in Japanese, and both Katsushiro and Edward Elric are played by the same excellent voice actor, Romi Paku.  The difference in the two characters is pretty dramatic though.

Edward rarely uses the common polite form of Japanese because he expects the people around him to treat him as an equal (i.e. not a kid) and demands it partly through the phrasing of his language.  Katsushiro on the other hand rarely uses anything BUT common polite form, and even at times goes for the ultra polite forms because of his age and rank compared to the other samurai.

I'm trying to imagine Ed being polite....

Well... You have to imagine him using the -masu form for everything instead of always using -ru regardless of who he is talking to. (I think the only time he uses the -masu form is when he's talking to Izumi... and that may well be because he's a) terrified of her and b) doesn't want to be rejected as her student.

Katsushiro ALWAYS uses the -masu, and sometimes even uses the 'sessha wa' instead of 'watashi wa'... you would never hear Katsu saying 'ore wa' to refer to himself, which Ed uses always unless he's talking to his sensei.

You're being polite. It's weird. What do you WANT, Ed? *scowl*
